Engaging and Succeeding in Negotiations
Description: Engaging and Succeeding in Negotiations is a three-day seminar that distinctively addresses the challenges facing women in negotiations through a variety of experiential, reflective and peer coaching activities. This course provides participants the skill sets to identify and unpack negotiation-based fears (using positive emotions, preparation, and role-plays) to enable participants in confidently engage in negotiations. Course learning tactics and outcomes include: • Learning how to prepare for negotiations—starting with clear, data-based goals—that increases negotiators’ confidence, competence, and collaborative capability. • Identifying framing strategies that research demonstrates are critical for women in how they ask for what they want and/or deserve. • Exploring how mindfulness, invoking positive emotion, or using relaxation techniques can reduce the fear and even increase open-mindedness and creativity. • Live role play sessions—bring your current challenges and try out proven negotiation strategies that aid in successful negotiations.
