Volunteer Management Training Series: Understanding Volunteering: Exploring the Heart of the Volunteer Sector Lynn Lauritzen, PATH Foundation Thursday, April 18, 1:00 – 4:00 pm If you manage volunteers or plan events for your organization, please join us for this training series. Created by the Points of Light Foundation, these 6 interactive workshops support organizations as they build a sustainable volunteer program. Participants will form a comprehensive understanding of the major components of a nonprofit volunteer management program. Nonprofits are encouraged to attend each or all of the dates. Those who attend all sessions will be presented a certificate of completion. In the first workshop attendees will: -Understand current trends in volunteerism -Explore the local volunteer landscape -Identify elements of volunteer engagement -Apply social motivators to volunteer engagement Target Audience: Those with beginner or intermediate experience coordinating volunteers Program attendance is complimentary for board, staff and volunteers of organizations operating within the PATH Foundation service area (northern Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock counties). For participants from other organizations, a $25 charge applies.
