Make the holidays brighter for a local teen through the “Fill a stocking” program sponsored by UVA Community Credit Union and The Salvation Army. Each year, local children, 14 years and younger, receive gifts from the Angel Tree program. This leaves out teens 14 - 17 from receiving gifts. This is where “Fill a Stocking” comes in. How can you help make a difference in a teen’s holiday? Pick up an empty stocking at the Credit Union’s Blackwell Road or Vint Hill branch now. Fill it with unwrapped gifts and return to the branch by Friday, December 8. What do they like? Gift cards, winter apparel, DVDs, CDs, or personal care items. Be sure to stop by one of UVA Community Credit Union’s two branches in Fauquier county to drop off your gifts by Friday, December 8. For more information, visit uvacreditunion.org. It’s easy, fun, and you can make a real difference for a local teen this holiday season!
