Volunteer Management Training Series: Orientation and Training: Achieving Service Excellence Lynn Lauritzen, PATH Foundation Thursday, September 19, 1:00 – 4:00 pm If you manage volunteers or plan events for your organization, please join us for this training series. Created by the Points of Light Foundation, these 6 interactive workshops support organizations as they build a sustainable volunteer program. Participants will form a comprehensive understanding of the major components of a nonprofit volunteer management program. Nonprofits are encouraged to attend each or all of the dates. Those who attend all sessions will be presented a certificate of completion. In the fourth workshop of the series attendees will: -Describe the importance of orienting and training volunteers and staff -Identify roles for planning and delivering orientation and training -Design effective volunteer orientation -Assess training needs and design training to equip volunteers and staff Target Audience: Those with beginner or intermediate experience coordinating volunteers
