A Day Of Family Friendly Fun! 3rd Saturday in May Discover a day filled with family friendly fun at the Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival. Admission is free for this one-day craft fair that draws 25,000-30,000 people from around the region, rain or shine. Located on the edge of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, Warrenton's historic Main Street transforms into a craft festival featuring more than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors, and entertainers offering something to please everyone in the family. Craft offerings include jewelry, handmade toys, photography and fine art, handcrafted items for the home and yard, pottery, hand bags, and personal accessories. Festival food includes hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque chicken, crab cakes, fresh-squeezed lemonade, gyros, kettle corn, funnel cakes, steak and cheese, and shaved ice treats. Many vendors come from Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and West Virginia, but some come from as far away as New Hampshire, Florida, and Michigan to sell their wares at the festival. Performers delight festival-goers from the steps of the historic Old Courthouse; entertainers include local dance academies and Shenandoah Travelers bluegrass. |
