We are a local nonprofit community based hospice, serving all of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock counties. Our mission is to provide compassionate and dignified end-of-life medical and support care for terminally ill patients and their loved ones. We care for everyone who qualifies for hospice care regardless of ability to pay. The cost of unreimbursed care equates to thousands of dollars each year, and fundraisers like our gala help to offset these costs.
The 2012 Gala will honor two outstanding community leaders who have led the way in providing the highest quality end-of-life care in our community, Pat Bankhead and John Collins.

A Magnificant Oak: Training for Survivors of Abuse
...to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit -- that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. (Isa 61:3)
