    Fauquier County CARES Training Scholarship
    For COVID-19 Impact
    This could work for small business owners and/or their employees!
     
    Fauquier County has developed a partnership with the Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation to fund the Fauquier County CARES Scholarship to assist Fauquier County residents who were financially impacted by COVID-19. If your job or your family’s source of income was disrupted by COVID-19, you could qualify for the CARES Scholarship that will cover 75% of tuition--up to $2,000 per resident--for classes provided by LFCC Workforce Solutions, which will assist in continuing education, job training, and career exploration and preparation.
     
    Workforce Solutions offers classes in an array of industries including:
     
    • Business: Customer Service, HR, Project Management, Leadership etc.
    • Computers and technology: Business Apps, IT Certifications, and CompTIA
    • Healthcare and Allied Health, Medical Office, Dental, Pharmacy, and ServSafe Food Safety
    • Industry and Manufacturing: Mechatronics, Safety, and Industrial Technology
    • Trades and apprenticeships: Construction and Heavy Equipment Operator training, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/gas fitting, and Welding
    • Transportation: Commercial driver’s license
