It's well known that NETWORKING is one of the best ways to make the contacts in business to increase profitability.
Tuesday Leadshare meets weekly with a goal of become acquainted with each other's businesses and learning more about what kind of client each is seeking. Leads include referrals of prospective clients, names of major representatives, or information on organizations which may generate additional leads or networking opportunities.
In addition to drive awareness of each other's business, each meeting also includes a presentation that highlights one particular member's business expertise. These presentations occur on a rotating schedule allowing each the chance to drive increased awareness of their brand to the group and any guests in attendance.
Leadshare works because relationships grow business! Not sure if your business is a fit? Each of the groups welcomes visitors up to 2 times giving guests the opportunity to explore the benefits.
All that needs to be done, is to reach out to the officers listed for the group(s) you are interested in attending and ask for an invitation. You can also contact the Chamber directly who will be happy to make those arrangements on your behalf.
PURPOSE - Meet weekly or bi-weekly to help member businesses flourish through:
- The exchange of leads/referrals
- Meeting other professionals
- Involvement in The Fauquier Chamber
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a current member of the Fauquier Chamber with dues no more than 30 days past due.
- One member per profession, product or service.
- A Fauquier Chamber member may visit each group twice as a guest.
COST
- Membership is $65 for 12 months. New memberships will also incur a onetime administrative fee of $10. All checks are made payable to the specific Leadshare group. Proration of fees is at the discretion of each individual Leadshare group
FINANCES
- Whereas Chamber Lead Share groups exist as independent organizations with finances independent of Fauquier Chamber of Commerce oversight.
- Whereas the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce seeks to facilitate the independent operation of Lead Share groups.
- Resolved that Lead Share groups follow standard Fauquier Chamber of Commerce financial procedures and disclose to their members that Lead Share groups exist independent of the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce.
LEADS
- Recording leads & referrals via website only
- Only leads & referrals for member businesses within the same group will be accepted.
- Each group’s leadership team will be notified when a member from their specific groups submits an entry.
- The Chamber will give an update on who is in the running between each Leadshare.
- Monthly membership spotlight for business that submits the most qualified leads & referrals recorded from all groups.
- The Leadership team will review and determine if the submission is qualified.
- A qualified lead is:
- A true, possible business transaction.
- Passed to a member of the group
- A member refers another member to any business
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Only one business may be promoted per The Fauquier Chamber membership and per Leadshare membership. If the member is involved in more than one business, an additional The Fauquier Chamber membership will need to be established.
- A Leadshare member may have a coworker or business partner attend a meeting in his or her absence. The purpose of this is to allow continual representation by the business.
- A business may be in a separate group but generally no more than 2 groups per business.
- Eligibility for vacancies in specific industries will be filled from the master list of individuals interested in membership maintained at the Fauquier Chamber offices and posted on the Leadshare webpage.
- Once a member leaves the group (voluntary/non-voluntary), the membership will not be held and the industry and/or business type will be open for others.
- If a member has more than one area of expertise, they may only represent one area. Once the member is approved, that one area of expertise, only that one area may be promoted, discussed or advertised within the group.
CHAMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Leadshare officers in their responsibilities.
- Provide member spotlight feature for Leadshare member with most qualified leads and referrals.
- Maintain a list of possible presenters for use during scheduling conflicts
- Resolve any industry conflicts that may arise if an officer chooses staff to resolve issues.
OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Annually, each Leadshare group will “elect” a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The Treasurer and Secretary positions may be combined into a single position.
- The officers will conduct all meetings with dispatch and integrity. A sample agenda will be provided for leaders to follow.
- The officers will keep records of attendance, guest speakers and other schedules.
SPEAKER REQUIREMENTS
- Each Leadshare member will be allowed to give a presentation to the group on a rotating basis.
- Nonmember speakers must be approved by the officers in advance.
- Speakers of general interest to Chamber members may be provided
MEETING SCHEDULE
- Each Leadshare group will follow the Chamber Holiday schedule and not meet on the corresponding day of the week of the holiday.

- Martin Luther King Day
- George Washington Birthday
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Each Leadshare group has the ability to modify their meeting schedule as deemed by membership.
- Endeavor to provide the agreed upon number of referrals and leads
- Follow up on the leads received
- Work to build goodwill and trust with/among fellow members and their referrals
- Share professional knowledge and promote networking through fellowship
- Recommend potential Leadshare group candidates
Tips to be a better Networker:
- Develop a brief (under 60 seconds) description of your business.
- Keep a supply of business cards or contact info available for your fellow Leadshare members. You never know when the opportunity will arise to hand them out.
- Be a good listener. Talking less will provide clues to potential prospects for you and fellow Leadshare members.
- Success and prosperity begin with generous referrals. Take advantage of every opportunity to support colleagues. It will pay off in returned referrals and support.
- Deliver the best possible products and service to network referrals. Good service brings more referrals and more business.
- Must be primary occupation
- No overlapping occupations or niches
- Acceptance or declination done written/verbal within one week
- Nondiscrimination statement: Review of application based on occupation without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, age or handicap.

- Keep a supply of business cards or contact info available for your fellow Leadshare members. You never know when the opportunity will arise to hand them out.
