They also honor the families who share in these sacrifices, acknowledging their unwavering support and the anxiety they endure with each shift their loved ones work.

A recap of the 2025 Valor Awards
On April 23rd, the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce hosted the 13th Annual Valor Awards celebrating Fauquier's First Responders.
For more than a decade, this ceremony has been far more than a simple expression of gratitude, it stands as a powerful testament to those whose service we must never take for granted.
Our firefighters rush into burning buildings while others flee. Our law enforcement officers stand as guardians between order and chaos, our EMS professionals provide critical care in life's most desperate moments, and our dispatchers remain the calm, steady voice guiding both responders and citizens through emergencies.
They answer calls in the middle of the night, place themselves between danger and the vulnerable, and run toward the very emergencies from which human instinct tells us to flee.
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the families who stand behind our first responders, those who endure sleepless nights of worry, who celebrate holidays on alternate days, and who maintain the sanctity of home while their loved ones are away protecting and serving others. Their sacrifice, though often unseen, is equally worthy of our gratitude and recognition.
Thank you all who joined us in this celebration and to every first responder we honored, please know that your dedication does not go unnoticed. We see you. We appreciate you and most importantly, we thank you for everything you do, each and every single day.
