Message from the Fauquier Chamber Board Chair - Chris Coutts
March 16, 2020
To put it mildly, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing disruption and anxiety to all of us. We're in critical times. The Fauquier Chamber of Commerce is here to help our members through this. We've postponed most Chamber events for the next couple of weeks, and we are focused on finding ways to support our business community.
Our businesses and non-profits are hurting, and some are wondering how they can continue to share goods and services to the community during this time. We will share best practices and ideas through our website. Our Micro Enterprise Council is gathering together a number of resources for businesses throughout the region. Do you have information that will be helpful to others as they navigate this uncertain period? If so, we invite you to share that information on our blog. See below for more details and to add your submission.
Our community can be a valuable asset in this time of need. Support your local businesses and fellow chamber members any way you can: buy gift certificates for your favorite restaurants and shops; try one of the "curbside delivery" services offered by the Old Town merchants and elsewhere, work with a rebranding expert on a new look for your business, or have a new website built.
Our mission is to be completely focused on, and a resource for, the business, government and community interests of local businesses. We want to be sensitive to the needs of our member businesses and organizations. If you have questions or concerns or would like to speak to us about your business, please contact us.
If you're not already familiar with Zoom, get ready, because it's here! The Chamber will continue many of its operations online to support you. Here are some very short tutorials.
We will continue to communicate as this situation evolves via regular emails, our website, and through social media.
Thank you for being part of the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce!
Chris Coutts
