What Should the Board’s Role be in the COVID-19 Crisis?
What Should the Board’s Role be in the COVID-19 Crisis? Cristine Nardi and Cindy Colson, Center for Nonprofit Excellence Wednesday, May 6, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Do you serve on a nonprofit board or work closely with your organization’s board? Are you wondering how your board can best support your mission in this time of crisis? Nonprofits need strong board leadership to succeed. We feel this more acutely during a crisis. This is a time for nonprofit boards to step up—to stay connected, to support their staff, and be intentional and decisive. CNE’s Cristine Nardi and Cindy Colson will lead this online session to provide a framework for how your board can provide effective leadership during this crisis. They’ll focus on what to do and what not to do, answer questions from participants, and offer real-time problem-solving to help your board be at its best. This session is part of CNE’s Practicing Strategic Resilience series, online programs that provide nonprofit practitioners with timely guidance on issues of the utmost concern during the current crisis related to COVID-19 Intended audiences: Board members and the executive staff who work with them
