Since 2018, Steve Robinson has served as National Cyber Practice Leader at Risk Placement Services where he leads product development, marketing solutions and educational efforts related to the placement of Cyber Risk insurance.

Since 2007, Steve has served as Area President where he has led, and continues to lead, the Technology & Cyber division of RPS out of Cambridge, Maryland.

Prior to this position, Steve was President of ISG International, Inc. where he was responsible for all revenue-generating activities associated with the independent insurance brokerage before their 2007 merger with Risk Placement Services.

Under Steve’s Leadership, the Cambridge team was recognized within RPS as “Branch of the Year” in 2016, and most recently in 2021. Steve was named a “Top Specialist Broker” in 2021 by Insurance Business America and the cyber practice at RPS has been consistently recognized nationally by Advisen as a nominee for “Cyber Risk Wholesale Broking Team of the Year”.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. His public speaking engagements have included the national Advisen Cyber Liability Insights Conference, the ACI Cyber and Data Risk Insurance Litigation Conference, the national Cyber Liability Insurance ExecuSummit, The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), and, as a panelist discussing cyber risk insurance trends before the Federal Insurance Office at the United States Treasury.

Steve has published numerous articles on cyber risk insurance, authored white papers relative to information risk exposures that organizations face, and trained insurance agent groups throughout the United States on matters of Cyber Risk insurance, both through webinars and continuing education certification.
